Webberley added that the use of hormones, to put children on the path of their chosen gender, would give them the “right puberty” and also backed surgery “to adjust the physical bits”.

She must know the barbaric reality of the genital surgeries. It's very far from an 'adjustment'. She is without conscience.

It does work, and here is the gov.uk link to the emergency regulation, if you don't want HW looking at you balefully out of that photo. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-restrictions-on-puberty-blockers

Just wish there was a similar emergency ban on X-sex hormones for under 18s. Scratch that, for under 25s.

New restrictions on puberty blockers

New regulations restrict the prescribing and supply of puberty-suppressing hormones to children and young people under 18.

Thanks for posting this - share token worked for me.

"The initial “emergency” restrictions only cover a three month period but are likely to be extended beyond September by the next government."

Will Labour extend it I wonder? And what if they're being proped up by the Greens/SNP/LibDems?

"The ban applies to NHS and private doctors in the UK, as well as to prescriptions issued by clinics in Europe. However it does not cover prescriptions from elsewhere in the world — meaning the controversial gender clinic Gender GP will still be able to operate from its base in Singapore."

Why do they never do a job properly? The Conservatives often say the right things then do half a job. It is relentless.

For children? 😫 at some adults

How can that be someone’s view

I didn't think trans people choose their gender, I thought it was their true inner self (or previously born in the wrong body).

I can only imagine the rage of the delightful Dr Harrop upon hearing this news.

I think that guidance might be badly written. I've just read the order and it bans the sale of puberty blockers subject to some exemptions where the sale is allowed. I think those exemptions only apply to NHS and Europe but I read it quite quickly so may be wrong

I was referring to the government guidance being badly written not the quoted post
