A friend in the Civil Service has started a project to capture accounts of bad EDI (e.g. gender ideology being forced on people)- theuncivilservice.com . Launched this week (coincidentally the same day as Esther McVey's speech about tackling EDI spend), it provides a safe, secure and anonymous way to share stories about bad EDI and the impact it has on CS staff (in your own words and without having to engage media outlets hostile to CS that put their own spin on things). Thought this corner of MN would appreciate!

Please thank your friend! I will make sure to respond - this crap is driving every sane civil servant mad!

Woman2023 · 16/05/2024 20:31

Good idea!

It honestly is. I feel like I'm drowning in it ...and that's me talking as a good little leftie who's always taken a keen interest in equalities issues !

Good grief - the accounts that are there are awful. Breastfeeding week centring transwomen "breastfeeding" 😡

Well done those who've set this up.

A great idea. If infuriating to read!

Hope your friend's a member of SEEN too.

Yes, she's a huge fan and admirer of SEEN! They work so hard using all the internal channels to try and influence and make things better. Exciting to see spin-offs springing up.

While it’s an excellent idea, OP, FWR is monitored by TRAs and I’d be worried about them sharing the link and flooding your friend’s site with spam and abuse. I think you’d be safer reporting this thread and getting it deleted.

As a geek please make sure your friends site is as anonymised and security protected as is possible.

Fellow geek here 😎 great point. It's totally anonymous, they don't capture any data at all about people posting stories (they sacrificed being able to verify someone was actually a civil servant - e.g. through asking for submissions via a work email - in order to maximise protection all round). Has had expert input.

Love this thank you, God forbid just don't let the men on the CS Reddit see it.

But that means that anyone could post on it & the longer it’s up here the more likely it’s going to get noticed and flooded.

Yep I suppose it will get trolled. But as far as I know every submission is reviewed before it's released
