Another one - why does it take video footage being released for schools to protect students from these teachers?

Yes, it is in the daily mail.

Someone might be able to link to an alternative source.

Children are being targeted in schools, and it is absolutely abusive, vile and damaging.

Why didn’t anyone at the school stop it or safeguard those students until it became publicised? It is evil.

Teacher suspended over dresses that displayed outline of male genitals

Footage emerged on social media showing Fletch Fletcher, a teacher at Dimond High School, wearing a tight-fitting dress in class while standing close to a pupil.

'We have reviewed the relevant information and found that the communications are malicious and harassing in nature, and were taken out of context.'

What is the correct context for school kids being able to see their teachers genitals through they/thems tight clothing?

'We will continue to monitor the situation. We encourage everyone to refrain from communicating falsehoods, misinterpretations, innuendos, and/or bias.'

Heaven forfend anyone shows any bias, to teachers who choose to display their genitals to children. How could that possibly be misinterpreted? Gaslighting child abusers.

Definitely not a paraphillia.

Lol at the mail providing closeups of the offending appendage but pixelating out the danger area. Not that I wanted to see it mind.

And yeah... some garments work on females and aren't decent on males. We're different shapes.

Sudden realisation as to why menswear trousers are made of mid to heavyweight fabric.

Bring back corduroy.

I’d like to know what was going on that no staff member had already raised things. The School website is currently down, but according to NCES they have 64.97 classroom teachers (a student/teacher ratio of 22.21:1 for the 1,443 young people in grades 9-12 [age 14-18] who attend) & they will have a SLT outwith that too (I’m not sure if they have police, but they’ll have a nurse, office staff etc).

Far too many adults will have seen that individual wandering about dressed wholly inappropriately & failed to act to safeguard students.

9% of the student population are American Indian/Alaska Native^ & 6% are Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. Only 3% are Black; 14% are Asian; 9% are Hispanic; 18% are Mixed Race; & the remaining 41% are white. Anchorage itself is less multicultural.

So the dynamics become even more troubling with the potential for targeting very vulnerable demographics - children who know they belong to groups who are still appallingly treated. They knew they had no recourse however uncomfortable they might be; & even adults from those groups will have been hesitant to make a challenge to a powerful & protected white male. The initial response from the school shows they were right to be, too: they were all set to try & pretend there was no problem (other than, presumably, whoever took & shared the footage).

^Those are descriptors used by NCES, I won’t presume to alter them.
(All NCES stats are for school year 2022/23.)

According to Anchorage Daily News the teacher is being targeted by horrible right-wing Libs of TikTok and various assorted bigots. Link here: How many fingers - Anchorage Daily News

I recall an instance where one of my female teacher colleagues wore a fitted top that was very flimsy, and although it covered her up, was very see through so much so that her bra was very visible, as were her nipples. As soon as another member of staff saw her in the morning, she told her about this, and she was asked to go home and change into something more appropriate for school. No one needed to be suspended, the teacher was mortified, everything was good.
As someone has already said, where were this person’s colleagues in all of this? Why did no one think to tell him - “oy Mx, your cock is clearly on show - put some tighter underpants on”, or to tell the Headteacher / HR? Is everyone so scared of offending the special people that they throw common sense and safeguarding out of the window?

StephanieSuperpowers · 12/03/2024 08:42

They need to start screening for perverts in recruitment of teachers. I don't care what anyone says - indecent displays to a captive audience of minors is perverted.

theremustbecake · 12/03/2024 09:00

The poor kids. As much as I think phones shouldn't be in schools, this is a reason why they're useful. But it shouldn't be that way in the first place. Schools should be safe spaces for kids.

Froodwithatowel · 12/03/2024 09:06

Why hadn't the SLT acted? Because we all know we're supposed to pretend wilful naivety and absolute belief in good faith regardless of the evidence of our eyes or who is being harmed, in the name of righteousness. Or be burned as a witch.

Unless the international LGBT+ political lobby gets off its bum and starts saying, loudly, this is totally inappropriate and not a part of being TQ+, and should be vigorously challenged without fear or favour based on concern to not be seen as 'transphobic', then they are tacitly saying that it is. And that is inevitably going to come back to bite them.

IcakethereforeIam · 12/03/2024 09:10

Unless he's hung like the proverbial I don't believe his bulge would be that noticeable unless he.....🤢😬

BlackForestCake · 12/03/2024 09:16

If a man wears a thin, stretchy dress you are going to see a bulge regardless of how well endowed he is because the hip bones are further back than the genitals.

Rightsraptor · 12/03/2024 09:40

Who was that young bloke who stood for the senate or something in the US - Emily Someone? He was on stage in a tight stretchy dress which revealed rather more of his modest endowment than the electorate probably wished to see.

Bit of a pattern with these men.

Froodwithatowel · 12/03/2024 09:43

And if a woman wears tight trousers she is likely to have camel toe on display unless of course she is aware of such things, particularly in a job working with children and parents from a range of backgrounds, and takes the necessary steps to not turn up to work in such a state.

<off topic> i think we should all click, even if it is - shock - the DM. Because currently they are one of very few news outlets that are reporting on this as a safeguarding concern (for the kids). We need to encourage it.

When they see more clicks on these stories, they will cover more of these stories. When other outlets see they get more clicks of these stories, they too will start to cover them. </off topic>

Cosmosforbreakfast · 12/03/2024 12:34

If he hadn't wanted his genitals on display he would have worn something which hid them. He has no business being around children.

NitroNine · 12/03/2024 15:00

@RainWithSunnySpells

That’s horribly reminiscent of what happened to the (lovely) Professor Selina Todd at Oxford in 2020. (She was also utterly utterly let down by several friends & colleagues she’d thought she could rely on, which must have been dreadful 💔)

Letch Letcher

(Going by the video there, he didn't wear any pants under the blue dress.)

Smallwins · 12/03/2024 23:08

Completely missing the point, but what is the point of the article blurring the part of the picture it refers to?

Froodwithatowel · 13/03/2024 10:51

Oh look. Male showing off genitals through a dress in a school turns out to share very highly sexual material on social media.

So not an accidental, naiive oops but a man with a fetish fetishing around children and relying on other people making excuses.

Surely that's indecent exposure?

As I understand it (IANAL) genitals needn't be naked - just obvious. Gentials exposed through tight/ transparent/ short clothing etc, also comes under the indecent exposure description.

The bugger should be in police custody, and his computer drive should be getting inspected IMO.
