To be fair I was a bit snippy with my last comment - sorry ! It’s just we see purity spirals play out a lot particularly in left leaning circles and it never ends well, its important not to get caught up in ‘my brand of feminism is better than yours’.

It seems too political to me. Why not just teach them about these women? You don't need to wear anything special for the day, apart from turning up and standing in front of the class.

I am also v feminist but seeing the backlash... it's also too close to waving flags to me.
