I think your own post provides you with the answer. It’s outrageous to refer to a male sex offender as ‘her’ but it is where the logic of TWAW leads. It alerts readers to the problem. See it as another nail in the coffin for self-ID.

This is a serial offender, and the regularity of these offences is concerning. Local news stories like this are chipping away at the narrative that there is no cause for concern if male people identify as women. Anybody who still says that ’treating TW as women has no negative impact on anyone else, they’re the most vulnerable’ just looks like a fantasist now. That’s good.
