I think a formal inquiry into police handling of reported hate crimes would be very interesting!

Regarding the judges remarks when Mr LaFey dodged jail for the claw hammer offence

We live in a society which acknowledges and embraces diversity and allows and encourages people to live the life they want to. Sometimes society does not make the necessary or appropriate adjustments in all ways it can to reflect the adjustments of society as a whole,” Judge Mooney said.

What does the judge think this world would look like? The world where society has made the 'necessary or appropriate adjustments' to allow Mr LaFey to live the life he wants to. How would that kind of society work out for the rest of us?

Though tbh I have absolutely no clear idea what the good judge was actually trying to say in his second sentence.

Also annoying because (thought I might have it wrong) it sounds like if it were possible (if Le Fay could "prove" their gender identity) the judge would presumably have sent them to a woman's prison. Because this wasn't possible the judge regrettably felt custody was inappropriate. Absolutely 0 concern for female inmates.

ArabellaScott · 09/02/2024 09:48

I don't care what the status of this man's genitals is, he should not be in a women's prison. Nor in a mixed sex mental health ward for that matter.

It shows what this judge and probably many others thinks about women.

I honestly don’t think this judge or many of the others think about women at all. Only men matter to them…

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/02/2024 10:08

Kinda what I was getting at and explains rape and SA trials, family court situations and the granting of rights to vilely abusive men and so on.

Noshowlomo · 09/02/2024 10:09

“Vulnerable minority” pardon me?
I haven’t seen many vulnerable groups send death threats, rape threats, threats to lure away and trans your kids, actually doxx people (well women, the real kind). Vulnerable groups be able to wear huge massive fake tits to teach teenagers and no one able to say anything about it. Vulnerable groups put in women’s jails even though their crime was sexual violence towards women.
I had to unfollow Ashley James yesterday after her insta post, with her on This Morning. I understand her sticking up for Brianna’s mother listening to Rishi, but her posts are constant “our trans sisters are scared of men too, the problem is cis men” NO NO NO, it’s men and a man with a dress on in a woman’s space is a huge red flag. I hate the virtue signalling for clout.

ArabellaScott · 09/02/2024 10:19

This man may very well be vulnerable and in a minority. That doesn't mean he isn't also a risk, a danger, and in need of boundaries if not legal action.

SirChenjins · 09/02/2024 11:10

Vulnerable minorities- who just so happen to have a far higher rate of being jailed for sexual offences than biological men or women. They’re not the vulnerable ones here.

Another Fay. What is it with the Fay/Fae names?

I like to add k woman on the end. Faek woman, fayk woman etc

DancingOnMoonbeams · 09/02/2024 00:08

Thanks. Woman-hating man threatens extreme violence against a woman. This happens every day, and so does the violence.

Where’s the news story? He is charged and convicted — that rarely happens.

BUT not imprisoned, for reasons that sound to me like a judge pulling excuses out of the air. Anything to avoid hurting the violent offender’s feelings. So no news there ….

Another Fay. What is it with the Fay/Fae names?

They may be genderfae &/or dabble with fae/faer pronouns. (There‘ve been some hilarious wee spats over question of cultural appropriation & said [neo]pronouns. Nobody’s asked the síthe/huldufólk etc. I know the latter are elves, but…)

The Genderfae Pride flag features seven primary pastel colors, green, green, yellow, white, pink, lavender, and purple.

Genderfae (also called genderdoe or genderthil) is a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses feeling masculine. This is different from the binary gender female because it may include genders other than male and female (aporagender). It can be between male and female (androgyne), the feeling of no gender (agender), or any other non-binary gender. Genderfae individuals tend not to feel mingenders unless said gender is woman-aligned (like azurgirl, for example). Genderfae is under the genderfaer umbrella. Pangenderfae is the static version of genderdoe/genderfae. Someone who identifies as pangenderfae experiences all non-masculine-aligned genders within reason, within knowledge, etc.
The alternative terms genderdoe and genderthil were coined for those who do not want to use "fae." There is currently a movement to solidify into only using genderdoe or genderthil due to fae being revered in certain cultures.

How the fuck do they remember all this shit?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/02/2024 12:15

mingenders

I read this as mingegenders.

Froodwithatowel · 09/02/2024 12:27

Hopefully this time around the judge will reflect on this little charmer and their capacity to have behaved following having been let off prison last time on the grounds of being too fragile for male prison, (with his claw hammer and threats of bashing everyone and dismembering them), and him having refused to share whether or not he'd had genital surgery and the court not knowing what to do with that.

The Canadian one tried that on a court too, with lots of wails of 'you can't demand any kind of medical exam cos humiliation!'

I would have thought it would be perfectly possible to either produce your doctor's/hospital medical record documentation of having had this major surgery, which should exist via letters to GP no matter which country it took place in, or to accept the assumption that you haven't had such surgery, with that being your choice. No less dignified than someone wishing to use the legal protections of disability being required to provide the documented evidence that this disability exists in fact and reality.

Tallisker · 09/02/2024 12:35

Is it about a 95% chance that a he still has a penis?

Froodwithatowel · 09/02/2024 12:43

No GRC, crimes all about threatened violence to women, so he wouldn't be going to a women's prison whatever surgery he may or may not have had.

And for those of us whose first language is English.... ????

What a load of absolute shite

I think your first language needs to be gibberish.

Where does it say the perp is trans?

In the thread title.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/02/2024 12:54

You may see a lumpen man, but in the mirror, he sees something quite, quite different!

Don't they all.

lifeturnsonadime · 09/02/2024 12:59

What a vile man.

The only thing that's a pity about him pleading guilty is that he won't be forced to stand trial and voice his disgusting views.

Most of the time I'm glad when violent men plead guilty to save the victim further trauma, but I rather think KJK could have handled it.

Local news report. Mainly avoids pronouns in favour of name. Though 'woman' slips in a couple of times. Sigh

"Brighton trans woman threatened to kill activist Kellie-Jay Keen

By The Argus

Layla Le Fey from Portslade could be sent to prison after posting threats to two women's rights campaigners.

A woman could be jailed for making online threats to kill campaigner Kellie-Jay Keen.

Layla Le Fey, 44, posted tweets on X, formerly known as Twitter, threatening two well-known "women’s rights campaigners" Helen Joyce and Kellie-Jay Keen, also known as Posie Parker.

The posts described wanting to burn one of their houses down with them inside it and wanting to “physically kick the s* out of you, pull your eyes out and break your spine”.

Three of the posts were made in March and one on June 7 last year. Le Fey was arrested by Sussex Police a few days after the final tweet.

Brighton Magistrates' Court heard yesterday that Le Fey could be jailed for up to eight weeks or given a community order.

One tweet said: “I’m a trans woman and I’m not ashamed to admit I’d be happy to physically kick the s* out of you pull your eyes out and break your spine.

"I live in Portslade, East Sussex, UK. If you want to prove your point that some trans people are extremely violent, I’m game.

“I’d be interested in setting fire to her house with her in it,” another tweet said.
Le Fey, of George Williams Mews, Portslade, pleaded guilty to four counts of sending an offensive/obscene/menacing message via public communication network.

Duty solicitor Andrew Foreman, defending, said: “It seems to be the case that this is part of the culture war between trans activists and women’s rights activists. Feelings run high between both sides.”

District Judge Richard Hawgood replied: “The problem is looking at the messages themselves, it is absolutely vitriolic.”

Mr Foreman described the tweets as hyperbole and said he suspected a lot of the online debate was of that kind.

Neither Kellie-Jay Keen or Helen Joyce has provided a victim impact statement.

The court heard Le Fey had a “very extensive” list of previous convictions.
Le Fey, wearing a chequered suit, leopard print jacket and earrings, previously tried to steal wine from Budgens in Queen’s Road, Brighton, then threatened to hit the manager with a claw hammer.
Judge Hawgood adjourned the sentencing for a pre-sentence report.
Le Fey has been committed to sentence for April 9 at the same court.
Le Fey must not contact Kellie-Jay Keen or Helen Joyce as part of the bail conditions."

And yet all the violence and threats only go in one direction.

Cultural appropriation, @NitroNine ? Well what a surprise! My eyes were rolling too much to read all the genderwang.

I read this as mingegenders.

I read it as Ming Enders, a real stinker of a daytime soap.

The Mail is reporting that them could face an 8 week prison sentence, or a community order. All that hammer and knife previous they has and that's it? Well, that'll put the fear into the trans extremist community, won't it?
