Swansea University in censorship row after library staff pulled prominent gender-critical writer's book from display after ONE complaint

Good article from the Mail mentions the previous closure of Swansea Uni Feminist society and the protests against events at the Uni. The book remains in stock.
The university insisted the book remained on shelves in the library, despite being removed from a promotional display concerning LGBT+ History Month.
But Dr Joyce said it wasn't for staff to dictate what students should be allowed to read.
She said: 'This censorship is outrageous. Public libraries have statutory responsibilities to support free speech and consider all the protected characteristics, not just gender reassignment.
'My book should be displayed alongside books promoting gender ideology, so readers can get the full picture and make up their own minds.'
The incident was picked up by Welsh feminist group Merched Cymru, who have previously campaigned on the issue.
A spokeswoman for the group said: 'We've had a couple of serious issues with gender activists staging threatening anti-women protests at events at the university so we weren't surprised when we heard a rumour that 'Trans' had been removed from a library display. It's just part of the pattern that we've come to expect from Swansea University.'
