SNP ministers have agreed to pay the UK government’s legal costs for the court battle over making it easier for people to change their gender.
Scottish government officials have confirmed that ministers will not oppose a motion for costs of £150,000 in relation to the failed challenge in the Court of Session.
An established legal process will be followed to <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/Kezu3/www.thetimes.co.uk/article/scotland-gender-reform-bill-government-no-decision-humza-yousaf-g0gjxzwlz" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">determine the amount, if the court decides that costs should be awarded after the Scottish government conceded the case relating to the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill.
