I think someone on the board has Peaked

I work for a charity that is fully captured. We often have training on how it is more important than life itself to service various demands that Stonewall thinks all trans people have, what to say and how to behave (this is mainly what not to say, how not to behave), pronouns in email sign offs, all that bullshit.
I have said nothing to a soul about my extremely normal and sensible views on the matter because:

a. I am a coward
b. I need the money
c. We all live in an Orwellian Dystopian Nightmare now apparently

However, after the recent AGM it seems that someone on the Trustee Board may be a hero of the first order.
No-one will let on the details but I know there was some kind of stink kicked up in a partner organisation to do with gender ideology, (I assume that an individual or a small group of people did something Wrongthink / Wrongspeak). Anyway in response, our board was asked to approve the roll out of some extra training on what the right thing to think is, since there is alot of overlap between the two organisations. And... instead of this being unanimously voted right through, the trustees all fell out with each other and the chair (who is very much TWAW) resigned in a huff.

I finally have hope for the future. And that's saying a lot right now.

Maybe someone has been looking at what happens when Stonewall advice meets the actual law?

Things are changing. Books and reports are published that were unthinkable ten years ago. Lawsuits happen. Tavistock is ordered to close. Not long before adult service will be in trouble too, I’m sure. Mermaids under investigation. Educate and Celebrate is being dissolved. Parents are no longer paralysed with fear. The tide is turning.

Yes. The #nodebate, the bullying, intimidation and silencing that has enabled all this for so long has finally been exposed. The press are on to it, the courts are filled with male offenders claiming to be women and the medics experimenting on mentally vulnerable children are being exposed to a horrified public.
It will still take an age with countless victims, but this tanker finally being turned - and not just in the UK.

I've only ever wanted to be able to talk about it openly, the way I had been told was what we could do with any subject. Being shut down for the first time and told I was a bigot was very shocking.

I remember the first time I heard the idea that discussing trans issues was actually hate speech even if you didn't think it was, and that even the notion that trans had or could be described as an 'issue' was the same as saying you denied they existed or had any rights. That debating anything to do with trans was akin to having them wiped from the face of the earth.

Such a scary time, can't wait for it to be over.

Thank the lord for JKR
