WHO transgender health guidelines - what a travesty

We, the undersigned, strongly object to the World Health Organization's (WHO) biased panel tasked with creating new transgender health guidelines. Of the 21 panel members, over three-fourths are transgender activists. The few physicians either specialize in HIV or are “gender doctors.” There is currently a worldwide explosion of teenagers wishing to undergo a sex change; WHO’s stated plan to promote hormones and “legal recognition of self-identified gender” will harm innumerable gender-dysphoric youth, gays, lesbians and other women. WHO must cancel this group's first planned meeting in February and go back to the drawing board.

Oh god, back to the 70's again. Such rapid onset gender occurrence, as seen with lesbians. Must be social contagion.

The Province (Vancouver, BC, Canada) 1973-02-01

"unrelated to the classical pattern"

"no early signs of homosexual attachment"

"I believe that social interaction played a large part in its development"

Must be Rapid Onset Homosexuality, right?

"These kids will grow out of it"

I'd hate to be a trans person these days going through what we had to in the past. History repeats. I wonder who will be next?

Maybe a number of them did “grow out of it” Mishi, or rather, realized they were not lesbian.

Where is your follow up study, showing that there wasn’t a degree of social contagion involved in the case outlined?

Teenagers do go through trends and fads and girls have crushes on other girls, then end up in a heterosexual marriage with children.

Luckily for those young women, nobody cut their breasts off or sterilized them with drugs.

The concept of ROGD seeks to neither explain its cause nor claim it’s a cohort of children where transience is a necessary part of the observation. This is brilliant paper that explains it well. Given the uncertainty that the existence of ROGD brings, it is necessary to not rapidly medically transition children irreversibly.

Kids aren't sexual though.

A number of people want them to be.

And seem to want them sterilised too.

It's a straw man argument as there's no life long irreversible medical intervention and sterilisation needed for same sex attraction.

Kids do get confused about gender stereotypes though. Again, no reason to medicalise based on the sexist forces of consumerism.
