VAW Older Women murdered . Massive incompetence here. And why was he released?

I'm so upset about this one. Poor woman( women) . Who thought it would be okay for this violent monster to be housed near older women, given his record? He should never have been released in the first place. I feel so bad for the families.

The decision to put him in accommodation for elderly and vulnerable people was just crazy. I don't know who is responsible for that but there surely needs to be a system wide review to ensure that inappropriate decisions like this aren't made again.

He was 63 and physically capable of bludgeoning a woman to death with a coffee table. He was an addict/user and a benefits cheat. How on earth would anyone perceive him as elderly or vulnerable?

Pure evil. Should never have been released in the first place.

So upsetting isn't it?

I think his latest victim had complained about his behaviour. I cannot fathom why he was still left to go on to murder her.

He'll never be a free man again at least. But that poor woman.

Such an awful crime.
It does seem as if certain prisoners are unsuited to be released into the community.
