WarriorN · 19/12/2023 09:15

Wonder if woman's hour will cover...?

Thingybob · 19/12/2023 09:18

What time would we expect the guidance to come out?

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 09:19

May be announced in parliament?

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 09:21

Omg a 5 yr old trans daughter ? Did I hear right?? Mother on Nicky Campbell

BridasShieldWall · 19/12/2023 09:25

She is a girl but not physically a girl, so a boy then. 5 years old.

HagoftheNorth · 19/12/2023 09:25

Yep, but started transition at 3 😱

Nobody thinks to ask what the little boy actually means when he says ‘I’m a girl’
Nobody seems to spend the time explaining that it’s not actually possible to change sex
Nobody is transitioning children to be dinosaurs or fairies, even though I’ve heard plenty of young kids declare that that’s what they are

Fml

I think I am going to have to turn off as I really can't listen to this

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 09:29

"My heart is pink."

"I am a girl"

PotteringPondering · 19/12/2023 09:31

'How schools deal with trans Nicky Campbell' 🤔

Trans Nicky Campbells are Nicky Campbells. Trans Nicky Campbells' rights are human rights. Some people are Nicky Campbells – get over it.

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 09:32

"You wouldn't think she's a boy as she has such a pretty face." Said some parents.

And mother got a lot of "hate" from other parents. Which isn't right. Ss called.

This parents has really been let down by not understanding that social transition is not appropriate.

Have the interests, don't do the rest of the affirmation.

"There's an innocence for children."

You've introduced incredibly adult themes here. It's all sexist

Dabralor · 19/12/2023 09:37

This is all so concerning. This child is so young!

Bit 😬at the books the mum has bought for the teacher to read to the class.

HagoftheNorth · 19/12/2023 09:42

Agree Dabralor. I don’t think children (including this child, sorry) have the conceptual understanding they need to understand transgenderism

Christ. My son told me when he was 7 or 8ish that he wished he was a girl. He didn't actually want to be a girl, just wanted people to stop telling him that dancing/sewing/crafting were for girls and that he should be playing football/karate etc.

Ffs.

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 09:51

Finally a wonderful woman mentioning the Cass review with excellent knowledge

HagoftheNorth · 19/12/2023 09:58

Ah, it’s only the old people who don’t agree with this 🙄

Theeyeballsinthesky · 19/12/2023 10:00

Ageism as always is the socially acceptable prejudice

ResisterRex · 19/12/2023 10:00

The mother "we are working hard to push this". And "it could be a phase".

Right, so it could be a phase but you are pushing it and not only on your own child, but on other children at the school with all the books etc and the "transgender policy" you managed to achieve within one month.

Can I go out on a limb and hazard a guess that if a parent "pushed" their religion at school, gave them books so their child could "feel represented", and asked for a special policy, they'd be told NO.

MissSueFlay · 19/12/2023 10:03

That wasn't balanced at all, far more 'listen to the child' voices, and no teenage trans identifying males who would be asked about which changing room they'd use.

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 10:04

Oh I can't cope with both, it's on woman's hour now

ChishiyaBat · 19/12/2023 10:04

Started transition at 3? That is child abuse pure and simple! That poor little boy!

WarriorN · 19/12/2023 10:04

I think that's recycling today prog

EtiennePalmiere · 19/12/2023 10:12

This really seems like sexualising people too young to understand, it's gross

Sausagenbacon · 19/12/2023 10:13

Caught the end. Nick Campbell (in his soupy voice) 'the important thing is that your child is happy'.
No, it's not. Parenting means that you do what's best for the child. People are afraid to parent.

ManyATrueWord · 19/12/2023 10:15

Sigh. Vegan cat syndrome.
