Has anyone else been following the X story of the TiM who complained to Vitoria's Secret because they allowed him to use the changing room to try on a "cute bra" but not when there were other women in the changing area?

Now I'm not a fan of VS, but my daughters used to love them and the idea of this person kicking up a storm because they can't get undressed in the same changing rom as them, really says something about their thought process. It's not about being treated with respect, it's about being affirmed in their lie by others.

I don't personally go to VS for underwear, however if it is correct that the TIM was allowed to try on garments, just not when women were present in the women's changing area, and now he is kicking off about it... well. It's not one bit about a well-fitting bra then, is it.
I hope VS don't pander to this, if they do, they deserve boycotted.

The background history is always the same isn't it.

Well, on the bright side, maybe we can at last expand the phrase 'death and taxes'.

And yet according to TRAs it never happens, or they're not reallllly trans.

This makes me so cross as I love VS and have been a loyal customer of theirs for a long time. If they start letting ladyfeelz men into their changing rooms whilst women are trying on underwear I will never shop there again as long as I live.

I also want to know which store this creep visited… I genuinely shudder at the thought of any woman unknowingly trying on anything he’s touched.

The ratio VS’s reply tweet is getting is really quite something.

..."but not when they were other women in the changing area."

Where did that one come from OP?

Brainworm · 30/11/2023 03:24

From the linked article it seems like, so far, VS has simply said they are sorry the customer was upset by their in store experience and they will look towards improving their service. This is pretty standard PR in relation to complaints. The key is whether they change policy as a result of the complaint. They could introduce a mixed sex option in addition to female changing room. I wouldn't have a problem with that

From the TiM's since deleted X post, the staff wouldn't let him in until there were no women in the changing area, then wouldn't let any other women in until he had finished.

good for VS to not allow him in when other women were there?? hope they keep it up!

Ugh, Ffs, and I like their stuff too.
Never again.

Isn't that a good thing? I'm confused. I'd support that. Obviously better to have both, but give them wage & level of most retail staff they're not really in a position to act like a bouncer but they still kept women safe and this agp chap segregated.

ErsatzRunner · 01/12/2023 07:55

I think the issue is that the company then apologised to him. The staff did nothing wrong.

The picture is strange, looks like drops of blood on his torso to me, all very odd if this was taken in the fitting room

I agree, the staff member did exactly the right thing. I'd overlook the "other women" comment as there was action to manage the situation appropriately.

I don't really care what underwear men wear in private, as long as I don't have to look at it, and I guess it's better than stealing their sisters' things.

The apology from management is obviously wrong though,
