Sport, and equality the answer is horse racing

Bit tongue in cheek here. Maybe we should approach sport and equality the same as horse racing. I looked into this and well gosh

There are filly’s , colts, mares, stallions and geldings. Sometimes filly’s have their own maiden races but the upshot is that an experienced horse race are mixed sex racing. But they are handicapped according to sex age and performance ie weighed down to make the race equal.

so maybe that’s the answer put weights on the boys ankle to slow him down, if he has won loads of meets weigh him downs some more.

thinking about it it would work in running, swimming, cycling, darts ( on the arm i guess) the options are endless

if i had an encounter with a trans on sport this is what i would say

I know this is a boring, factual answer, but that's who I am.

Handicaps on male sportspeople are not going to be enough. I say this, based on the winners of the Kentucky Derby, which is a mixed-sex or open race for colts or fillies. Colts have to carry 57kg, and fillies carry 55kg. The race has been held annually since 1875.

In all that time, only three fillies have ever won. Which is why there is a slightly shorter, filly-only sister race to the Derby, called the Kentucky Oaks.

I thought you were going to suggest all sports should be done on horseback. Although how you would teach a horse to ride a bike🤔

How about separating sports by sex? Then nobody has to work out any kind of handicapping, and the best way to implement it.

I think they need to separate male boxers based on their testosterone levels. So if a light weight has to fight a heavy weight, oh well, it's fair you BIGOT!!

YES!!

This is post of the day, I swear.

MissingLesbianSpaces · 25/11/2023 01:52

I've been saying this for years, if only it would happen!

Sprogonthetyne · 25/11/2023 01:56

Not sure it would improve safty to give the male even more weight behind them when they kick/tackle women.

Of course its all fair and equal, the skinny loser should reframe their bigotry and eat more. They just don't want to win!

it does beg the question as to why they didn't continue to increase the handicap when it was not actually having the desired effect - i.e. to level the race. Why bother at all when 2kg makes so little difference.

Also - 55kg for the jockey, all his clothes/hard hat and the tack - ouch!

sashagabadon · 25/11/2023 09:23

I am sure I read a filly had never won the grand national so there must still be some competition advantage in the male horses as to why they always win, possibly weight or size in the grand national

Karensalright · 25/11/2023 20:07

@sashagabadon

13 have won but not since 1953.

OMG I think you're onto something!
Someone needs to tell sports straight away.
I wonder why they don't do it already, it's such a simple and straightforward solution and it would be so easy to implement.

Although I do love the idea of men dragging fucking ship anchors around while trying to figure skate. Try being the first woman to land a quadruple axel in competition NOW, dickheads!
