This is a piece by Jonathon Van Maren, a socially conservative Christian writer and presenter (and Reduxx reader) from Canada. Probably not much new to anyone here, but it is a good counter to the "just be kind" argument.

Cruelty Cloaked in Compassion

"It is cruel to demand that women accept their own demotion and dehumanization to avoid offending the [men] in charge."

Good article. The list of injustices speaks volumes - 9 men have been named woman of the year!!!!

Thank you for sharing this. Good article, and hard to argue with any of it; these are points that really need to be more widely shared.

How is it 'kind' or 'inclusive' or even basically tolerant to require that a woman accept the price of help with her life threatening assault and traumatic escape to a refuge is to permit a man to 're educate' her into lying convincingly that he is a woman and that men in her space who identify as women are different to any other man and do not trigger her trauma, cause her great distress and add damage rather than help her recovery?

Particularly when that man is gaslighting her that he is there to help her and is in charge of services to help her recover ffs. 'Cruelty' is the right term for it. Horrific cruelty. And entirely self serving to the male people involved. This is always, always the core feature of all this.

An excellent article.

Yes, there is a cruel sadism present in this movement, meted out by people who enjoy punishing those they resent. The article expresses how I have felt about this for a long time.
