JM: personal emails DD to JP. 'Try to be gentle with yourself, Jo'. It's suggested you've had negative attitude to JP since 2019. Having looked at these emails, how do you sum up your relationship with JP?

DD: It was warm

And then the sound dropped out again.

DD answered the judge that she became aware of JP's GC belief's in July 2021 and Ben pointed out in her witness statement there was an email between DD and JP in 2019 where Jo said she doesn't think TWAW and sex is immutable.

OK, now I believe that the OU tried to settle with Jo, And she refused. There is no other possible explanation for this tribunal going ahead.

My guess is that any settlement would have required a full apology from the OU acknowledging that JP's views were valid and they knew that they just couldn't do that (because the institution is captured by trans activists), which meant that any settlement to JP would have had little meaningful value.

Just reading DD's witness statement, I think it was in 2018, not 2019.
