This is a very clear speech. But what everybody seems to forget is that while the definition of woman was removed from the Sex Discrimination Act, it remains in the Equal Employment Opportunities (Commonwealth Authorities) Act and probably other related legislation.
so a good legal team should be able to argue that the intent of parliament was to retain the working definition in overall legislation.
