Bobbi Gibb, Boston Marathon Pioneer

It's a long article, but well worth a read. A pioneer for female sport and equality of the sexes.

'Incapable' - the woman who raced a lie

Bobbi Gibb was denied by a letter and obscured by an image, but has beaten both to be recognised for what she is.

It seems laughable now that it was considered unhealthy for women to do certain sports. I can remember my grandma saying that women shouldn’t do the high jump or pole vaulting because it twisted their wombs.
