Accidentally going to see Billy Bragg

I booked tickets for a festival. One of the headliners has now been replaced at the last minute by our FWR favourite Billy Bragg. Tell me I won't explode with irritation on seeing him?

Yes, very true - can definitely chill at the back/ignore. The people I'm going with will want to see the headliner, of course (and they're not sworn genital fetishists/Fascists like I am), but either way, it will be fine. Am just mildly annoyed that I now seem to be directly funding the truly foolish.

I've never thought it possible to enjoy Billy Bragg, even less so now. I wouldn't heckle though, cos I'm a lady (the old fashioned sort).

I do get what you're saying. And if you paid to go and you're not getting what you want it is annoying. I just wanted to reassure you can ignore. Hope you have a good time

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm more disappointed that the Proclaimers have cancelled and have no desire whatsoever to sit through Billy Bragg. Loathe him with a passion.

I've been to the Moseley Folk Festival quite a few times and can honestly say I can count on one hand the number of acts I would want to see again. It's all about the atmosphere!! I'm not even a massive folk fan.

Ignore him and enjoy the ambience, food stalls or beer instead 😁

Or, if you have a full weekend ticket, maybe that'll be your cue to leave? At least you'll beat the rush at the end of the evening 😉

So you think the above behaviour is wrong then @Maddy70 after all people paid good money to attend those events and would rather they weren't interrupted either, or don't those events count?

Look forward to your answer and condemnation of those who interrupted and spoilt events for those attending, particularly the FiLIA conference where sufferers of extreme VAWG had to battle to recount their stories over the sound of people outside threatening them with sexual violence and using the foulest of language.

Saw BB about 2 years ago. He was fine but seeing like 3,000 people of my age demographic and the men constantly popping out to the loo really made me feel over the hill. Wasn’t a good look.
