GC websites being blocked on public wifi

It's the DM, I've seen a thread or two on GWR blocking Sex Matters. I think it was originally reported in the Telegraph. The DM seems to have taken that ball and run with it.

GWR said it was because of the word 'sex' but that seems to have been nonsense. It's now been unblocked.

Has anyone had problems accessing GC websites when out and about? Sex Matters, Transgender Trend.....Mumsnet?

Gender-critical websites are being blocked on train wifi

A Mail on Sunday investigation found that one in three networks are denying access to sites that raise legitimate questions related to trans issues.

The Mail does seem to be one of the few places that still has some actual investigative journalists.

Having checked catalogues in public libraries now I've got to check public wi fi. I sincerely hope other journalists pick up on this.

I see the potential for some 'citizen science' here. We know the Mail is interested, so if we all checked our local public WiFi (and library catalogues, it would be great to get that news out there as well), we could send them a hefty wodge of data.

Who's up for that? I'd be happy to collate and forward the info.

For websites I suggest using the ones the article mentions (WRN, Sex Matters, Trangender Trend). For books, Joyce, Stock and Bindel?

Yes, good idea. Happy for results to be compiled on this thread, although I could understand people wishing to be vague about locations.

Hmm? Can I simultaneously boycott Costa and use their wifi?

Good point about locations. Namechange before posting data?

IW weighed in. IANAL but surely that's libellous.
