Is Leeds Pride ok for teenagers?

My niece wants to go to Leeds Pride, she’s 13 and considers herself bisexual, and a gay/lesbian ally. She’s quite naive, a little bit #bekind, but fundamentally GC. Not sure if it’s a good idea to take her - anyone got any experience of this event?

I just took mine to see the parade at this age. Not Leeds specifically, but watching the parade was enough for her at 13.

Thanks coreas, I think we’ll go & just do that. Just try to make sure we’re somewhere we can quickly leave if there’s trouble

Parade is usually pretty friendly. It ends nearer the bars though, so it might be better to move on afterwards.

There's often a quieter family day bit going on by the Tetley if you/she wanted to hang around after.
