'SCOTTISH Labour is facing a “nightmare scenario” over the gender reforms it supported at Holyrood which have now been rejected by Keir Starmer.
Sources fear the Scottish and UK Labour parties could find themselves on opposite sides of a courtroom battle over the disputed law if Starmer wins the general election.'

Oh, dear. What a shame.

Chickens coming home to roost. Scottish Labour should be ashamed of themselves

Murmurs that Sanwar may be forced to resign over this.

And yes, Labour have been an utter disgrace. Imagine waving through the bill despite every single safeguard being struck out!

Scottish Labour's positioning is "Total Politics", zero principle. They want to be seen as distant from London, ie a reasonable choice if you're a nationalist vote N of the border. Anwar has calculated that adherence to this Self ID law shows "he's his own man", not beholden to the main party in England.

He's another Labour male that knows what a woman is, doesn't truly believe anyone can change sex. But for cold political reasons, he's happy to throw all girls and women under the bus, knowing that most voters could easily give him a bye on this, especially with the SNP being Self ID.

He benefits from SNP fucking up over the very selfsame law change he supported!
And shows himself no lackey of London.

I actually think the SNP are more principled than he is, just how fucked up is that?!

Sturgeon at least believed the continent-sized crap she was happy to promote. Anwar doesn't, and yet was still happy to wave it thru, and fight for it now.

Starmer knows that Anwar's position is a massive risk to Labour's overall electability at the GE.

If people like me, and millions others, decide we could give Starmer a bye and vote Labour, but won't because our fear is that if Labour get in, Anwar and Drakeford takes will become Labour policy in office, then we won't vote Labour in droves.

Anwar is one of the most despicable politicians I can think of.

But surely, should the Westmintser government block on the Scottish GRR not be over-turned then there is little the Scottish Labour party can do about it?

Maybe if the SNP gain a majority again in Scotland they'll continue to press for Self Id again too?

Nothing Scottish Labour can do. But it's an early indication that Labour are a rabble, and rats fighting in a sack will characterise their reign.

In the past, stuff like nuclear free zones and strikes, in 2024, trans policy, Self ID etc.

Labour are in a huge mess here.as the court case is coming up with Scottish Labour wanting one result and Starmer wanting another.

Scottish Labour backed self ID but did so when it was official party policy. Now Starmer is shoving the blame onto them.

It is hard to know what Anwar or Starmer actually believe, they are both just playing a game.

Starmer had nothing to say when Anwar declared he was supporting Self ID.

Of course, this was the middle of Starmer's TWAW period, before Adam Bryson blew a king size hole through the policy.

Now it's all a liability.

Writing these posts is therapeutic, lol. After 48 hours of thinking I'd give Starmer the benefit of the doubt, I'd rather not anymore.
