The Metropolitan Police has taken the transparency ombudsman to court to block the release of documents that could highlight failures to protect women and girls.

Mark Rowley is a disgrace, the Met are supposed to be short of cash.

The fact they’re so desperate to cover it up indicates that it must be appalling.

I’m glad the Times is chasing.

Too "short of cash" to actually prosecute rapists and domestic abusers.
Spaffing money up the wall to hide the fact they're not investigating or prosecuting crimes against women and girls.
Spaffing money up the wall to hide the fact they're not investigating or prosecuting crimes against women and girls perpetrated by themselves.

Monkeys. Keys. Banana plantation.

OMG! Horrendous. How bad must that report be?

And how dare they use tax payers money to cover it up!!?

What do they think they will achieve?

When will Mark Rowley learn? We all know the Met are an absolute disgrace when it comes to their treatment of women. It isn't a secret and he isn't fooling anyone. They've been disgusting since I was a student there in the 80s.

He will earn a lot more respect by exposing the whole sorry lot of them, getting it all out in the day light and dealing with it. Even if that means firing a whole bunch of senior officers.

The Met has now instructed external lawyers to take the commissioner to court to block the release of the report, the only police force in the country to do so. This is despite it previously releasing a similar report on child sexual exploitation to The Times in 2021. The move could cost the taxpayer tens of thousands of pounds

the report is a fucking shit show then

One of my cousins joined the Met in the 80s,she left for reasons she still refuses to discuss.
