C4 news gunning for Lady Faulkner again

C4 news has just made a big thing about their previous (wonderful) report about how they had been contacted by all these members of staff at the EHRC being bullied.

Failed to mention how their report was questioned and dubious.

Now making out it that somehow it was all part of some terrible plot, they said they had been told the investigation was back on.

Queue pointless segement from Women and Equalities Committee trying to make out Lady Faulkneer was blocking them when all she was saying she couldn't say anything because of the investigation, and that it was on hold.

Caroline Nokes trying to look really authoritative but in fact exposing she doesn't understand process.

Just posting because I see this will be the start of a new effort to ramp up through innuendo and worse that Lady Faulkner is a huge problem. Not that she might be the poor person left to sort out the ERHC being captured by Stonewall, and now all the TRAs who thought they were in charge and now throwing their toys out of their pram to say "it's not fair".

(ie they could have just said they have been told the investigation into the EHRC has re-started - every day is a new low for tv news)

They are really going for her. I'm slightly heartened by how ineffectual their 'grilling' was at the last meeting.

Channel 4 has long given up any pretence of being a unbiased investigative news programme.

Telegraph version of the story:

On Tuesday night, the EHRC revealed the probe had now been reopened. A spokesman said: “Following legal advice, the pause on the investigation has been lifted. We are unable to comment further to protect the integrity of the investigation and to ensure fairness to all parties.”

However, The Telegraph can reveal that the leak inquiry into data protection concerns is still ongoing, prompting complaints from Lady Falkner’s allies that the reopened probe remains “prejudiced”.

An EHRC source told this newspaper: “They’ve rather taken it into their own hands – the whole thing is going to get overtaken anyway because we’ve got this leak inquiry going on.

“It is possible that the <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/sDbAy/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/05/24/ehrc-baroness-falkner-trans-civil-servants-coup/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">investigation into Baroness Falkner won’t be back on for long anyway, as it may remain prejudiced. I think this whole thing is going to be thrown out, due to a combination of flimsy evidence and how it’s been handled.”

It's all hot air and fake news. It was absolutely obvious from the WESC review.

This is another overblown witch trial.

More truth out in the open to prick their balloons. You think they would have learnt that these investigations aren't going their way by now.

Disappointed to see the Times has now published an article about this, which puts Lady Falkner in a very negative light. More C4 than anything.

This. It's such a shame. It used to be brilliant and thoughtful.

At the time of the C4 News insinuating all sorts of things I did wonder do the people who give them the leaks really think it will help to spin the story, or is it a double bluff to get evenyone to think they are out to get Lady Falkner.
