At their extremes, both are based on entirely subjective feelings, without any consideration of the feelings of others, nor for the actual consequences of imposing these feelings on others.

How can you legislate on the basis of subjective feelings?

All I know is that when I went to the Women's Place meeting on reproductive rights last year, it wasn't pro-lifers who were shouting at the attendees outside. It was trans activists.
They're two cheeks of the same arse imo. Both anti-women.

two cheeks of the same arse.

Never heard that one before. Very appropriate.

FWIW, that was an extraordinary meeting. It came on the day it was announced at Roe vs Wade was going to be repealed, and that was talked about by all the speakers.
And then we walked out to protesters shouting 'trans women are women'. If they'd genuinely have wanted us to be inclusive, they'd have shouted 'trans men are men'. TW don't need abortions.
The absolute idiocy of trying for force women to prioritise male people at a meeting about birth, pregnancy and female productive rights was just staggering.
Every time, I think I can't possibly lose more respect for trans activists, they do something even more stupid, but that was a particular eye opener.

I remember commenting on here a couple of years ago about an anti-abortion demo in the USA where anti-abortion men were saying abortion is equally theirs to decide about because in the US, transactivism has influenced language around pregnancy and abortion, so it has been switched from 'women' to the all-inclusive 'people'. And so, by that logic, male views now carry equal weight.
