Though I agree with her sentiment and that men should never have started to call themselves women, it has been pointed out that the term “femoid” was an unfortunate word to choose as it is an insult used by the so-called incel community for women.

A pity if that derails the important discussion around the confusion and conflict when men use terms such as woman or lesbian to describe themselves.

She is certainly receiving a lot of “be kind” pushback.

After reading some disturbing tweets from Judy Singer the woman that 'coined' the word neurodiversity it once again served as a reminder that cishet autistics have a lot of work to do before they can be considered trustworthy and safe members of our community

What does this mean? 'Cishets' only allowed in the 'autistic community' if fully paid up genderists? Are autism and genderism that tightly entwined?

I assumed she’d done that on purpose as a nod to the overlapping ideologies (and memberships) of the trans and incel “communities.” I guess not! Still, I think it was accidentally appropriate.

I didn’t screenshot, but she said she wasn’t aware of that usage.

I always wonder whats happening behind the scenes. Who tells them they have to do it?
There is no way she didn't mean what she said. She meant every word, even saying she didn't care if she lost followers for it.

These grovelling apologies always appear to have been written by people with a gun held to their head. Robotic messages not written in their usual style, almost like they are read from a script.

Thing is, the TRAs won't forgive her and neither will the autism rights activists. They are still boycotting Sia now for a casting decision in her film years ago.
