Sigh. Although Londoners instead of ladies and gentlemen is great.

It's a bit exclusive of people who move to or even visit London (or 'the Smoke' as my Dad called it) and don't 'identify' as Londoners.

I'm glad every other pressing problem has been solved so the money and time can be spent on this luxurious nonsense.

Not using sex-specific language when sex is irrelevant - fair enough. No need to start a speech with "Ladies and gentlemen", for example.

But neither 'insecure immigration status' nor 'undocumented' is equivalent to 'illegal' when describing migrant situations. A person could be any combination of the three. Not all people living in London are (or identify as 🙄) Londoners. Migrants may not want to stay in London!

And don't even get me started on 'male' and ' female', and ' not all women have periods'! (Not all women have periods, indeed, but I don't think it's those sort of women that the guide writers are bothered about 🤬).

He really is the worst mayor ever and so full of utter nonsense it makes your head spin. He is desperate to punish car drivers, blocking off roads, 20 mile an hour limits, building bike lanes that are barely used so that motor traffic is squeezed into single lanes...

And as for all the rainbow washing he does, it’s absolutely maddening.

Labour voters vote for him because he’s Labour, people vote for him because he isn’t of the Johnson/goldsmith ilk, fools vote for him because he jumps on every fashionable bandwagon and spouts nonsense. Argh.
