This was released yesterday, I couldn't see another thread but happy to be redirected. If you don't have time to listen to all of it (she goes through a history of both her thoughts on trans issues as well as significant events that made her and others wake up - Lia Thomas, male rapists in female prisons etc) then the last 3 mins or so (from 12:45) is the part on use of wrong-sex pronouns.

I came on to see if anyone had posted this. That is one of the most powerful speeches I've seen on this subject. Extraordinary.

Just watched it via Glinner.
Totally awesome and summed up everything I feel.

Saw this in a post by Glinner earlier. Megyn has finally peaked - which gives some extra meaning to the "gyn" in her name...!

I just watched it all. Very poignant and effective. Definitely worth the 17 minutes.

Whole thing is very worth watching. She's generally excellent on this topic, and very genuine.

There was another clip on the topic where she was interviewing someone and she just started angrily going Women lose! Women lose! Men win, and women lose! Every time! which has been my internal voice on this for about a decade, so was a little cathartic in a way.

Very much agree that this is a very powerful and moving statement. Megyn was close to tears at one point. At the end she gives special credit to brandubh and recites her incredible poem "I Am Not A Dress".

Superb statement. Clear, concise and factual. It should peak 1000s

I’m in the US. This feels like a bit of a tide-turning moment. She covers a lot of ground in a short clip.

I just hope she’s willing to interview Kara Dansky or similar as a follow-up.

If all of this is folded neatly into the horrifically polarized US left-right fight, it will be too easy for the Democrats (still my party, though they’ve made it hard to vote for them over the past several years) we won’t make much headway.

Democrats, especially Democratic women, need to hear much more from progressive women who have been in this fight for a long time. Which is precisely why media outlets have been vigilant in silencing us for many years…

Great: the more people feel free to follow the better. I hope this helps to start turning the US.

Now we need a few mainstream UK newspeople and pundits and politicians to dare to so the same.

It’s brilliant, isn’t it? There will be those who ignore it because it’s a Fox News/conservative commentator but she is well worth listening to - her rage, her distress and her journey from “Be kind and TWAW” to “What the fuck is going on?” mirrors the journey of many of us.

I watched it last night. She has definitely reached a point of 'I don't give a shit what anyone thinks about me anymore'.

And brandubh's poem is just superb.
