Female Labour staff are said to be fearful of using the party’s official complaints process, prompting concern among senior officials as a long-serving MP is suspended over allegations of sexual harassment.

Labour figures have acknowledged the “genuine concerns” of female colleagues, and have issued a “cast-iron commitment” to take any action necessary that will restore faith in the party’s processes.

In one email to all party staff, Labour’s general secretary, David Evans, insisted Labour took sexual harassment and abuse claims seriously, saying “we take action in response to every complaint reported” and urging anyone with a complaint to come forward.

There was a really good (depressing) intveiw with a female MP on Radio 4 1pm. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-65783805

When she first arrived at Westminister she was given the name of 27 male MPs she should stay clear of.

Would any other work place sanction this as part of their induction process??!!!

Is it any surprise that the Labour Party would value its women MPs as being unworthy of support, and instead allow men to behave as they want, when they want.

Charlotte Nichols was the MP who spoke out on Radio 4. Not getting much support https://twitter.com/charlotte2153/status/1664625431792832515

Unfortunately I'm not surprised by any of this especially from labour all you have to do is look at the way rlm behaved in parliament towards women mps and nothing has happened to him to know how bad it must be to work for that party

When she first arrived at Westminister she was given the name of 27 male MPs she should stay clear of.

I was party to a conversation with the CEO at my previous organisation at the height of the #metoo movement. He said our sector peer group were all aware of who the problematic males were and strategically seat themselves at dinners to act as a buffer for female colleagues. I thought at the time it was only the ones others knew about & there were likely others flying under the radar.
