Name change as this could be outing of where I work! Just found out they’ve been nominated. Have spent a pointless hour on their webpage reading their diatribes against academic freedom (aka hate speech free-for-all according to them) and a long article full of ridiculous straw men about why Adult Human Female is hateful transphobia. I’m just ranting to myself in my head about how weak all their points are (e.g., the misogyny’ of claiming that women are weaker than men) and feel so frustrated and wound up - I’ll never be able to voice these concerns to people involved as I’d probably lose my job. Ffs!

Ah, they're just being self congratulatory. The SU gets to show how inclusive they are and to stick one to the terfs. This isn't the war imo, this is barely a grass fire. Let them have their circle jerk. Perhaps one day they'll look back and be ashamed.

Flowers but I don't blame you. There are some thread I actively avoid because I know they'll depress me.

I know, you’re right, it’s not a big deal. It just makes me feel I’m working in a hostile environment, and my students, who mostly get on really well with, would consider me a hateful bigot if they knew my views … all because of weak, illogical nonsense! Arrghh.

But yeah, bigger battles to fight, got to move in, etc …
