Nice one Paul, one of the few lefty men prepared to stand up for women. I don't share all his views on politics but he's been clear and consistent on this particular issue.

I would like a clear statement to the effect that it is her own personal money, not UCU funds. Embery says it is a substantial amount of damages, plus legal costs. I know union bosses are on good salaries, but would Grady have that kind of money lying around?

This woman needs to speak. I hope she is breaching a contract with the 'sorry, not sorry' so that he can take her to the cleaners . They need to have it all out. I really want to hear what she has to say. I want everyone to hear it.

I have to say if I was Jo O'Grady and I was confident in what I said was correct, there is no way in hell I wouldn't fight tooth and nail to defend myself. I would ask every person I know for money if I was trying to defend my good name, cost of living crisis or not

Why does O'Grady say no court proceedings were issued by Paul Embery against her when legal costs are having to be paid and they were at the High Court? IANAL but that doesn't sound right at all to me.

This. The fact that’s she’s not stated that she won’t be dipping into UCU coffers (and also says she won’t be making any further comment) makes me cynical.
