The 'ronseal' of toilet signage ?

'ronseal' referring to the fact that I think it does exactly what is says on the tin. Ie. Penises this way, vaginas in here ?

Spotted in a Netherlands loo apologies for the dark photo. It was a very dark and trendy place Smile

What do we think ?

The 'ronseal' of toilet signage ?

I always thought the peach meant bum, not vagina 🤔

DaisyDando · 21/04/2023 15:49

Is the peach one for poos?

ApocalipstickNow · 21/04/2023 15:52

Sit down (toilets) stand up (urinals) maybe?

peach usually means bum.

SmoothSeasDoNotMakeGoodSailors · 21/04/2023 15:57

Surely a cat would have been more appropriate than a peach?🐱

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 21/04/2023 16:03

I think sometimes places can get too clever with toilet signs and then it’s not absolutely clear what is meant!

This is not the Ronseal of signage at all because as pp said, peach usually means bum….

PussBilledDuckyPlait · 21/04/2023 16:08

Great, if they want people confusedly walking into the wrong loo.

Transparent2 · 21/04/2023 16:11

I haven’t got either of them about my person unless I’ve just been shopping. How do I even know these are doors to loos?

Chersfrozenface · 21/04/2023 16:12

Apparently peach can be either fanny or bum of both, according to the various (and often anatomically incorrect) definitions on Urban Dictionary.

Chersfrozenface · 21/04/2023 16:14

Oh, and if it is really necessary to have a food symbol for a penus, wouldn't a sausage be better?

kitsuneghost · 21/04/2023 16:16

I thought it was a strawberry

Nellieinthebarn · 21/04/2023 18:23

I thought the taco emoji meant fanny. But then I'm a bit old for all this symbolism, if only there were words that could be used for the different sexes.

Me too! I was thinking ‘well everyone has a bum!’

ArabeIIaScott · 22/04/2023 10:16

If it was actually Ronseal then these toilets would be segregated by plant phylogeny and no use to man or beast.

anunlikelyseahorse · 22/04/2023 11:32

Aubergines are huge though, clearly I've been dating all the wrong men.

LemonadeSunshine · 22/04/2023 18:03

Because using the words 'Men' and 'Women' are too controversial 🙄
I'd consider the place more edgy if they used the actual real words - brave!

SidekickSylvia · 22/04/2023 18:18

The peach (if that's what it is) is almost heart shaped, and it's reminded me of an episode of Cybill. It was Valentine's day and Cybill Shepherd was trying to convince her friend that all of the symbolism around Valentine's (hearts everywhere) were based on the way a vulva looks when you lie down legs akimbo, and nothing to do with the organ that pumps blood. It was funny.

Anyway, yes, I'd know which of those toilets to use.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/04/2023 18:21

I'd assume it meant urinals vs toilets?

This wasn't in the UK and it's a hotel catering to multiple nationalities. Also it's v groovy place so normal words would not be de rigeur 😬

I was at a pub in Gloucestershire recently with a banana on one door and a peach on another

Unlike Kier Starmer, they know what a man is.

backinthebox · 23/04/2023 22:30

Where in the world is ‘so groovy’ they can’t even use normal words?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 24/04/2023 07:08

You could have male and female hazel flowers - catkins and those tiny red rosettes.
