Moving article on a school transitioning a child behind a parent's back

I know it is behind a paywall but, well you can imagine from other things often discussed on here:. One small example:

"They even reported me to social services as a safeguarding concern after I refused to agree to the name change in school, asked them not to accept the deed poll and sought reassurance that teachers were not referring to her as male in class."

We really need some king of alert system for schools that do this - some way of quickly reporting a school to Ofsted. And if the government won't provide that then some kind of naming and shaming system - maybe one of the women's pressure groups might think of providing a list of schools that explicitly promise NOT to socially transition children or do so behind parents' backs. Then at least parents can check against a list. A kind of reverse Stonewall Diversity Index. And if they won't promise that then why not??

That's such a sad article. The poor mum trying to safeguard her child while they are both being failed 😢

It seems so wrong that the mum is powerless to find education and health care professionals who will listen and think critically.
