The comment on another thread by @Ndd135632 plays heavy on my mind re these stats:

anorexia was a way for girls to reject puberty. Gender dysphoria is the new way for girls to reject puberty. One is being replaced for the other. The terrifying thing is that whilst anorexia was treated, gender dysphoria is being positively encouraged. It is a meme. An idea that catches on and gains momentum and spreads. Social media is making the spread of gender dysphoria much quicker than anorexia back in the 1980s and 1990s which relied more on real life word of mouth. How professionals are not seeing this is beyond me.

Yes you could absolutely add gender dysphoria to the end of that. And from what Prof Michel Moore encountered, many girls start Id-ing as NB or male in Ed units, again, from peer pressure. Except the HCPs have been known to them declare that as the answer to all their issues. Except it's not. And they have an ED and on pathways to transitions.

Jesus! Race based disadvantage dressed up as equality!?!? This is what the intersection between of race and misogyny really looks like!

I just have no words for that! How can they not see themselves?!

I wonder what happens if someone were to sign the Dove petition and add a comment that could be construed as against gender ideology.

It’s a good idea. Brands need to pick up the way the wind is blowing. Bud Light and Nike have just had a kick in the balls (;-) . Brands need to understand what is happening and how furious women are. The irony is that this is the first craze to affect girls that has started in the era of social media. Anorexia spread by word of mouth. You know that anorexia prevalence is on the wane and gender dysphoria is picking up the slack. You couldn’t make it up. It all stems from girls trying to escape their pubescent bodies.

I know one mum with an anorexic daughter who said how happy she is that she now says she wants to be a boy. Because finally they have found the solution to her anorexia. No you haven’t!!! They are both symptoms of something much deeper. You have basically substituted one symptom (anorexia) for another one (gender dysphoria). And you could argue the former can be reversible whereas the latter has the bigger threat of irreversible damage. I simply don’t get how people can’t see it. Especially professionals who are trained in teenage mental health issues.
