And could you tell me what Mabel Chah said please? She's been called out as transphobic on fb by progressive politics NI, (full on TWAW page), but they won't actually say what they deem to be transphobic & I'm very curious. Thanks if anyone was there & knows!

This guy has a report, no idea how reliable or complete it is:

Nothing remotely "transphobic" there. Much more reaction in the replies here:

Also, if someone won't say what someone else has done that they think is wrong, they are not "calling out", they are smearing.

The replies ProgPoliticsNI have hidden on Twitter:

That first twitter exchange was very interesting. Unheated and well argued by Stephen.

UtopiaPlanitia · 10/03/2023 22:28

From reading that Twitter exchange, it just made me feel that the guy arguing against Mabel Chah’s point of view was so much more polite to the other bloke (S Graham) in discussing the issue than I bet he’d be if he were arguing against women 🤷‍♀️

I avoid most feminist groups in Belfast; they largely seem to be so feckin right on that I think any GC attendees would likely have them performing a TERF-exorcism 🙄

This!

Thanks all, had missed this. Totally agree Stephen was calm & also I find when men argue this issue, they get much less flaming than women!

Astonishing how men will speak to other men on the topic of what a woman is, using nuance, politeness and tolerance.

ArabellaScott · 15/03/2023 13:04

Oh, okay, everyone else had the same thought. It's fucking galling.

There's a certain type of man who reserves his thoughtfulness purely for other men.

DameMaud · 15/03/2023 14:10

Yep. I see it. The veil is fully lifted
