Is anyone able to share a link?

She’s a US psychologist and trans woman who is campaigning for children not to be rushed into trans affirmative care. I hadn’t come across her before.

At the end the article mentions Gillian Keegan is refusing to meet with the Bayswater Group to consider their concerns. 😯

Gillian Keegan is a trans ally. She should be sacked. I really can't believe anything the Tories say whilst people like her are in position.

Agree.

There's TRA Gillian Keegan in post and TRA Mordaunt as Leader of the House of Commons. These are PM appointments.

Sunak needs to get a bloody grip. Kemi Badenoch can't do everything on her own.

Sounds like the last years of their marriage were a nightmare for the wife. At least the old trope about knowing he was trans since he was a toddler wasn't trotted out. I know it's a side issue to the article, but why transition, what was the trigger?

I agree that ageism can be bundled with the sexism, homophobia and misogyny of the gender movement.

Anderson was interviewed last April in several US newspapers, mostly right-wing ones, but also at the LA Times, and the Daily Mail wrote about her new opinions at that time, too. I think Anderson used to be strongly on the pro-medical-transition side until last year.

The article described Berkley, California as the "ultimate progressive stronghold" which is actually a clear judgment because I'd describe it as the ultimate regressive stronghold. Calling 'herself' she is an act of aggression towards women but I am very pleased that trans people are now starting to be more vocal about the shitshow being done to children in their name. We need more people willing to stand up against the harm which is being done.

Very interesting article. I think Erica sounds like an interesting person who is not afraid to voice their opinions.

I think having more trans people (especially an experienced psychologist) promoting the cautious and careful treatment of young people is a really good thing.

Given that Anderson is heterosexual, was not particularly effeminate as a child, and transitioned in middle age, I think we can guess what triggered the transition. Same as people like Debbie Hayton.

I feel the same as PPs do, especially having read so much by transwidows since I stumbled blindly into this board.

But I'll give Anderson credit for saying what needs to be said, and knowing it will make them unpopular in the trans community.
