I've emailed my MP at Westminster and the constituency office today.

Left it to the last minute, been busy, but it's done.

The debate in Parliament is tomorrow.

Does anyone understand the outcome of the debate? I read it on Hansard, all debaters seemed to agree that more needs to be done. The under-secretary for state then waffled on a lot about all the robust measures already in place but conceded more can always be done.

it just seems a very unsatisfactory end to a debate! What happens next?

Sarah Champion has written about the outcome. It looked like there were very few MP's at the debate but the Govt agreed to look into the problem.

''In response to Sarah’s campaigning work, the Government has committed to review a loophole which allows registered sex offenders to change their name without the knowledge of the police.
Sarah tabled a new clause to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill which would require the Government to review how this is happening and develop solutions.''
