What a life! What a woman. I'm so glad she was immortalised by those photos.

But those are not hot pants, silly DM. I wore hot pants and they were not it. Simone was wearing shorts. They always have to make women 'sexier' for some reason best known to their misogynistic selves.

Yeah, I know. It's a shame, because there doesn't seem to be all that much written on this amazing woman!

So interesting! I have recently learned about several very brave women during the WWII era. Including the Russian bomber pilots. None of that knowledge was easily available earlier so that's one good about the Internet.
