The Defence Science & Tech laboratory @dstlmod has chosen one of their male scientists to be the face of international women and girls in science day.

Now this was fun! And in the US some Rhode Island Democratic Party women's group (not sure if state level or not) is led by a 75-year old transwoman (a Baptist minister) who only transitioned a few years ago.

It's interesting to finally see womaning done right! The leadership roles go to those who perform femininity the best?

Having been the young woman who later on in life found out the woman I was inspired by was a man like the other 90%... ugh.. they have absolutely no idea how devastating this is. Especially when you only read about your heros as i did back in the day.

Much as I despair at the sheer number of captured by this ideology useful idiots in charge everywhere, I'm increasingly heartened at how many women and men are now openly calling out this bullshit.

Yes. The difference on Twitter is very noticeable from, say, a year ago, and it's not just different moderation principles (if they have changed) that causes this.

Did anyone click on the actual link? What really stood out for me is that in any other situation where a women is specifically being highlighted for her expertise in the context of being a women, she is asked how being a women impacts this or advice to other women or whatever. But not here. You know why? Because this person can't give WOMEN advice because women's experience would have been completely different.

Had to check the date in case we'd jumped to 1st April. Another example of the idiocy of this ideology.

I gave up and just forwarded the tweet to my MP who used to chair the Foreign Affairs Committee. I discussed in my tweets influence on girls and the impact of using a male figure on this occasion, and then secondly the blocking of accounts with different views and hiding of replies by a tax-payer funded organisation.
