news.sky.com/story/predators-could-exploit-gender-self-identification-says-minister-kemi-badenoch-12791589

It’s referenced here and she is very plain-speaking which is a break from the usual waffle.

Usual waffle from other people, I should add, not KB.

You have to go right towards the end:

Kemi Badenoch: ‘My negotiations in Peru were interrupted by an attempted coup’

I look forward to the sharetoken if anyone can.

I am frustrated though by the politicians talking earnestly about 'it could happen'.

It has happened. Multiple times. Many of the cases are well known. There is a body count of women and girls physically harmed by this experiment on women's rights.

Thanks Rex.

''Badenoch believes that self-identification — the ability to change gender without medical diagnosis — puts women and girls at risk from predators. “We have no problem with that in the sense that we want people who are trans to be able to live their lives freely and as they wish,” she says. “The problem is that self-identification also makes life a lot easier for other people we don’t want to have those sorts of freedoms. Predators would be able to exploit any system that says you can just say you are what you are.”

“It’s also quite bad for trans people. They then get conflated and associated with the predators and people who are looking to do bad things. That’s why having a stricter regime rather than a loose regime is quite important.''

I don't believe the Conservatives have any intention of protecting sex based rights or safeguarding.

There is no 'could exploit' about it.

They will.

Thelnebriati · 21/01/2023 12:57

Surely she can't be unaware of the MOJ statistics?

There is no 'could exploit' about it.

They will.

It has happened.

It is happening right now, today.

There's no 'it might happen' it has and is happening to women .

This is not theoretical harm. And we now have MPs and others bleating about acceptable amounts of harm to women because saying no to men is just such a dreadful, awful thing to do.

Women are unable to use refuge services today and are staying in relationships that may kill them. We will not know how many will die because they could not use their local service: one leader of one on radio months back said she was supporting two women in this situation and it would inevitably cost lives. But they'll be invisible in the three a week dead statistics. Because it's better than putting reasonable boundaries on men and saying some facilities must stay female only.

Baroness Nicholson helped one woman force the NHS to admit she had indeed been raped on a ward in their care by a male who had identified onto the ward. The Baroness has tweeted she has been contacted by and is investigating more cases reported of rape and sexual assault on hospital wards by male people who identified in, and thought it would be over 50 cases, possibly approaching 100.

The women and prison guards reporting assaults in prisons by males who have identified into the space.

Karen White's victims. Katie Whatzits victims.

The body count is stacking up. We're back to the same old question.

How many females equal a male? How many damaged bodies and lives of female people equate the apparent horror of putting boundaries up to a male?

And wtf is this sexism all about?

Wilful misrepresentation of the Times article by Ben Bradshaw MP (Labour):

twitter.com/benpbradshaw/status/1616733647163228164?s=46&t=S7UwtkJvbfVbf0xjnxWZfQ

Are Labour suffering from a reading comprehension crisis?

DarkDayforMN · 21/01/2023 14:33

the minority group most likely to suffer violence and abuse.

Oh, shut the fuck up you mindless babbling fucktard. Homeless people, disabled people, refugees, kids in care, women in prison, do they even exist on your planet?

idk if even illiteracy can explain it. He’s simply a Pavlovian pod person. Just spits out the script whenever anyone disagrees with the agenda, no conscious processing of information involved.

Excuse the rant. I’m fed up of the pod people.

FigRollsAlly · 21/01/2023 15:08

Kemi even says that self ID isn’t good for trans people because they get associated with predators yet Ben Bradshaw is determined to draw false equivalences with section 28.
