So any criticism (or more likely ridicule) has them fearing actual assault.

I agree that the example quoted was unacceptable but from what i have seen that was cherry picked and the vast number of comments had a very different tone. But literal violence none the less. 🙄

yes i know that. But it's not at trans actors.

Do you understand why people are angry? because from your last post it doesn't seem as though you do

Being angry is not an excuse for death threats. I’m shocked you think it is, it’s almost like you approve of such illegal violence inciting hate speech.

Brefugee · 19/01/2023 20:59

Bog off. I said in my first (I think) post that each and every instance of death threats should be investigated and prosecuted where necessary.

You were being a bit disingenuous saying it was anti trans. It isn't anti trans. It isn't against the actors (and again since you obviously didn't remember: death threats are never ok). It is anger, and i totally get it, at transing women in history.
They. Were. Women.

I wasn’t being “disingenuous”- you’re the one guilty of suggesting it was that and “looking for offence”.

Anger at “transing women in history” is still anti-trans anger

The anger wasn’t ooooh you have rubbish French accent so you should die a horrible death.

It was anti-trans anger. And death threats are always offensive, to even suggest otherwise makes what you said before look like you were just saying a platitude of yes, yes death threats are quite awful really, prosecute….fullest extent of the law and all that in lip service before admitting what you really think which is…

people are angry……it’s TRAs fault for making people angry…nothing to see here…

it isn't anti trans anger. It is erasing women from history anger.
And if you think that is anti-trans you're part of the problem, tbh.
pro woman =/= anti-trans no matter how many times TRA try to say it is.

I’m just gobsmacked, it’s like you did not even read any of the comments that were made on SM regarding the I Joan play and have created some sort of alternate reality where none of the comments even referenced the fact that Joan was being portrayed as a non binary woman. They didn’t give Joan a penis for crying out loud, so how is this erasing women from history?
