This report demonstrates that the Scottish National Party’s (SNP) Gender Recognition Reform Bill, which aims to change the law regulating legal sex change for those born or resident in Scotland, will fundamentally alter the law relating to equal opportunities across the United Kingdom.
The report argues that the United Kingdom Government can – and should – make a section 35 order under the Scotland Act 1998 to block Royal assent for the Bill, which would prevent it from becoming law.

IMO - this shows how little policy makers and those who think they can do analysis have not been listening to women who for the past decade or so have been saying the GRA is a trojan horse.
They dont seem to understand that the erosion of women's spaces has already happened. And even more bizarrely dont seem to understand that there are single sex exemptions ie that even with a certificate if a service is singles sex you cannot use the service of your aquired "sex".
But maybe at least this situation will make a few who have been ignoring us for years, wake up to the creeping invasion on assumed women's spaces, whether Girl Guides or toilets. ie in practice self id has been promoted as fact.
Whether a certificate is given based on self identity or medical referral is irrelevant when political parties have failed to fight for and maintain women only services (still covered by the EA).
