In The Times. Covers the challenge of parenting and saying no, and supporting instead of enabling, as well as the frustrations of being up against an education system handing out rainbow flags, and lobby groups telling children about suicide:

The prize for being a good parent is hatred

"No one ever confused parenting with a relaxing massage, and when you’re faced with a hysterical teenager, the path of least resistance can be extremely tempting. But, as one Bayswater mother said to me, “Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is say no and let them hate you.”"

I’m glad Hadley’s moved to a paper that lets her do her job unshackled.

All strength to you, @rogdmum

You're absolutely right @rogdmum and we are all behind you.

Exceptionally frustrating and horrific when you also get situations such as Kevin Lister is in - I think that's going to an employment tribunal.

Hadley would have had this meeting with these wonderful people while she was still working at the Guardian. And pitched it to them. And they said no. Tells you everything about that place.
