He?

CuriousEats · 24/12/2022 11:07

Looks like the school worker is trans too. Quelle surprise.

Hmmm.
Serious dereliction of professional duty to investigate what might be going on in that child's life.
That's before considering the serious consequences for this young professional who has barely embarked on her their career.

Whatwouldscullydo · 24/12/2022 11:22

Take away the trans side and what do you have. Adults with a secret relationship with a minor conspiring to keep secrets from other adults and the parents.

Theres a word for that. Rhymes with broom. You do it to horses. How can no one see this. Trans Teflon coating strikes again

IcakethereforeIam · 24/12/2022 12:00

It strikes me that it's not just misery that loves company, but social worker contagion is definitely not a thing.

Yes this seems to be the only condition where the "treatment" of complete strangers must somehow validate everyone.

There are often many choices to be made with regards to medical treatment and one person's choice to not take medication is no reflection on those who choose medication or surgery. Its simply what they want and what they feel is best for them and their situation.

Yet this? You are somehow obligated to validate the choices of others by either undergoing or encouraging others to undergo the same course as everyone else. Is there any other medical condition where the " treatment" is the same regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, NT status, family history/back ground etc

Thats not even true for a headache. Some cant or won't take paracetamol. Ibuprofen isn't suitable for others etc

The students mother actually describes this behaviour as grooming, and is immediately told that describing teachers as "groomers" is insulting.
If the shoe fits...

Sexual grooming of a young, vulnerable child by a predatory teacher pushing own agenda for wn ends..🤢

Whatwouldscullydo · 24/12/2022 13:55

And yet on a parenting forum we aren't allowed to mention the G word

So not only can we not Talk about biological.sex and the words needed to portray this applied correctly. We Cant talk about the definition of what keeping secrets from.parents and influencing children is.

This is why this is happening
Because the words to describe what's happening are now offensive/inappropriate.

Anyone seeking to remove the language around this stuff is complicit

VerifiedBot2351 · 24/12/2022 14:08

That staff member is not a teacher. Is it some sort of pastoral role?

Is this true?
That we cannot refer to Grooming?
What else is it?
A young girl being “ Helped” behind her mother’s back to transition?
I though it was bizarre that people were not mentioning “Grooming”.
Banning words in relation to child abuse is wrong.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/12/2022 15:15

I think grooming can be discussed in general terms but accusing a poster directly of being a groomer wouldn't be permitted?

I shall seek clarification from MNHQ
<reports post>

Whatwouldscullydo · 24/12/2022 15:15

Not in relation to trans issues. The G word is not usually allowed. We have to work around it when we want to describe what it is when people encourage teachers to keep secrets, send binders behind the parents backs, offer to he glitter families etc

rogdmum · 24/12/2022 15:21

I consider my daughter to have been groomed by staff at her school and believe I have enough evidence to prove this. It’s odd that I’m not allowed to say so and that MNHQ will probably make this post vanish in a puff of smoke. 🤷‍♀️

Yes. Talk about the facts. This was a ‘secret’ relationship. This needs to be laid bare. this is a clear safeguarding fail.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 24/12/2022 15:53

Hello @BoreOfWhabylon that's right - we're not preventing anyone from discussing grooming or safeguarding in general. We'd remove posts that generalised or speculated about an individual. If you're unsure about why we've deleted something, please let us know.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/12/2022 16:01

Thanks very much @YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet Xmas Smile

Immediately after [the woman] revealed what Roy and the school had done to her daughter, Chris Coleman of Nobleboro, a 4th grade teacher at Great Salt Bay Community School, spoke at the meeting and attacked critics of the school’s gender transition policies.

[Warning, hyperbole incoming]
“I’m here because members of our community, and perhaps some from afar, have decided that our transgender students do not deserve to feel safe at school,” said Coleman.

He said the term “groomer” was insulting for teachers.

Yes, Chris, I should imagine teachers do find it insulting. The easier way to avoid being called a groomer, is to not groom. It's not hard.

Also, has anyone looked at these people's hard drives?

FOJN · 24/12/2022 17:25

The school is removing all publicly available evidence of the Social Workers employment at the school. It has shades of Louden County. If the school is so proud of and committed to their trans policies then why the secrecy?

Soontobe60 · 24/12/2022 17:33

There’s a podcast produced by Tortoise called The Tavistock: Inside the gender clinic. In one of the episodes there’s a transman talking about when they were at school. They talk about a teacher or teaching assistant who took it upon themselves to buy them a binder. Behind the parent’s back. Our schools are infiltrated by staff who think it’s acceptable to impose their beliefs on students without a thought of the consequences.

NoShrunking · 24/12/2022 17:53

But this is what happens here, when a school decides that they are going to use a different name or pronoun for a child. It's social transition. It happened to us and we had to fight HARD to get them to roll back.

oakleaffy · 24/12/2022 20:55

Very good point.
The hard drive of someone’s computer shows the real them.

I can think of a case much in the media a decade plus ago where someone was wrongly accused of a terrible crime by the press, but the hard drive of the wrongly accused person was impeccable.

The convicted criminal had a very alarming HD.
