MSPs voted against an amendment preventing rapists and violent sexual offenders from taking advantage of the legislation. Can we get a list of who they are?
Can a major newspaper publish that list so we can all see who they are?

Wings has a comprehensive list. Every last one of them should be mortally ashamed.

Why did Jamie Greene and Jackson Carlaw abstain? Does anyone know?

Why did Jamie Greene and Jackson Carlaw abstain? Does anyone know?

I think they were the only 2 Tories who originally supported the Bill but maybe agreed to abstain on this bit. The Tories allowed a free vote. Disappointing but good that most Tories still understand Biology and safeguarding issues.

Thelnebriati · 22/12/2022 13:11

Would it be possible to rustle up one constituent for each MSP to ask them why they voted the way they did?

BlackForestCake · 22/12/2022 13:53

They voted that way because that's what Nicola telt them tae.

They are mindless sheep.

My MSP is one of them and I'll be seeing him in the new year to tell him I am ashamed that I ever voted for him and I'll do everything I can to ensure he loses his seat at the next election.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/12/2022 14:16

Shame on them.

Mrstwiddle · 22/12/2022 17:10

i don’t see how any right minded person could ever vote for the SNP again

Waitwhat23 · 22/12/2022 17:15

This appears to be a full rundown of how MSP's voted for the final bill -

For anyone who wishes to make their feelings known to their MSP's, the website www.writetothem.com is a very useful tool. I will be writing both 'I'll never vote for you again' and 'thank you for fighting for the rights of women and girls' emails tomorrow.

Scottish National Party - the pro-rapist and nonce party.

GrouchyKiwi · 22/12/2022 17:22

I've just bought a couple of packs of Thank you cards that I'm going to send to each MSP who voted against the Bill.
