Late to this series.

This episode made me sob - the women lining the hallways while the woman who has been raped is taken to the operating room. No better demonstration of why women need women only spaces.

I remember watching this when it first aired.

Fuck all the women who'd give a penis-haver front and center stage of this scene.
Especially the current writers

Is it?

There is a non binary character but the person is female born and presenting.
The trans man character is no longer in it.

Rights of women in abortion and black outcomes in surgery are the main focus.

FunctionalSkills · 18/12/2022 22:05

There was a whole episode about a trans person in hospital and their parents being awful for not understanding that they wanted to cut off their bits. The whole narrative was around wasnt it awful the parent wanted them to wait until they're older/might regret it. And station 19 is sooooo woke.

I do quite like the current abortion rights link though. It's still unbelievable that Roe vs Wade has been overturned.

Plus the storyline with Teddy and Owen’s son. And it was a very clumsy storyline too.

Ah yes I forgot :tried to forget the long haired son story.

But I think that really only went as far as "let them be" -zero talk if medication etc.

That was an amazing clip. I kept thinking how many other of those women had been raped too. Even the actresses playing the characters. Very powerful, thank you for posting it.

And to hell with the Princess Grace Hospital.

If it was written today there’d be men in the line, front and centre.

chilling19 · 18/12/2022 23:48

Yes it would be a very different storyline today. Which is so sad.
