We never seem to reach rock bottom, there always seems to be somewhere worse it can go:

Women. We are the ones who have to care about girls because no-one else fucking does.

Agree 100%. Nothing changes it so fucking depressing!

BettyFilous · 06/12/2022 18:01

It looks like the tweet in the OP has been pulled. Can anyone briefly explain what it was without going into details?

ArabellaScott · 06/12/2022 18:11

The Fox News link I put up has all the news, including a link to the actual report.

'A special grand jury released a report Monday on how Loudoun County Public Schools handled two different sexual assault cases involving the same student suspect.'

"They (LCPS) failed at every juncture," the report states. "LCPS as an organization tends to avoid managing difficult situations by not addressing them fully."

Are you sure? Try this:

Washington Post picked it up (it would have been a dereliction of duty had they not considering how close Virginia is to DC).

Here's the Grand Jury report:
www.scribd.com/document/612445481/SGJ-Final-Report-12-2-22

and a local news report:

And here's my mom-informed opinion: Those girls have been treated like dirt. The school district and should be seen as an accessory to rape for failing to prevent rape TWICE. Once, a special ed teacher saw the first rape and DID NOTHING. Second, the district transferred the rapist to another school where he raped, and almost strangled to death, another girl. One father was vilified and charged with a crime for his anger at the LIE of the superintendent that no assault had taken place.

EVEN though the superintendent KNEW a boy wearing a dress had raped a girl in a girls' bathroom, he went ahead with the transgender bathroom policy of allowing MORE males access to girls' bathrooms. They have instituted state-sanctioned access for rapists. Is there a stronger word for livid? If yes, that's how I feel.

The incompetence and disdain for girls's safety is mindboggling. I am so angry about this that it's really ruining my day and I'm likely going to be behind in work.

100%.

I'm really sorry, Delphinium. It's fucking evil, and I really don't use that word lightly.

I don't use the word 'evil' lightly either.

But this is the time. This is.

Delphinium20 · 06/12/2022 19:35

Thanks @ArabellaScott

Often, in cases like this, when all the evidence comes out, it's often more nuanced and less damning for all involved. What usually happens is a report shows unintentional breakdowns of processes, plus ignorance. But this is very different. The Grand Jury report revealed the Loudon rapes are much worse than we'd assumed. Over and over the MSM (which I defend on most things) wanted a specific narrative and refused to dig deeper.

The parents knew better, which is likely why the Democrats lost Virginia elections. This concerns me, because overall, Dems are better at other policies, but they have failed so miserably with taking on transgender issues as their cause d'jour. There is now collateral damage as a result (e.g. abortion, climate protections, etc.) because the Dems are so damn obtuse on this issue.

Delphinium20 · 06/12/2022 19:42

If someone could tweet Michelle Goldberg at the New York Times and ask her how she plans to review her past interpretation of these events in light of this new evidence, I'd love that. I would if I could.

She needs to revisit this if she wants to keep her credibility:

*I keep misspelling Loudoun...(I'm on British MN and keep thinking 'London') Ack.

I really can't see another way of describing their actions. This is excusing, enabling rape and abuse. It's attacking victims. It's outright lying. To what end? To preserve a narrative? To save their own face? To promote an ideology?

I hope someone who can, does so.

That needs called out like the Guardian's 'Wi Spa' bullshit needed called out.

ArabellaScott · 06/12/2022 20:02

Oh, that's still up.

'Wi Spa represented a nightmare scenario of what can happen when far-right groups, rightwing conspiracy theorists and gender-critical feminists are all aligned against trans rights'

'Rightwing sites presented the woman’s claims as fact, and in several cases used a misleading screenshot of a male customer as a main photo, falsely implying he was the trans woman.

“It was clear this was getting out of hand, because this story was not only unconfirmed, but it was evolving and mutating and being presented in a dishonest way,” said Emily Moro, a researcher with UK-based group Trans Safety Network'

Delphinium20 · 06/12/2022 20:04

How either great paper can get away with this bullshit? The New York Times (I assume the Graun as well) will make corrections over a misplaced comma!

HermioneWeasley · 06/12/2022 20:05

It’s the women enabling this that I can never get over. It is evil. They are evil.

Delphinium20 · 06/12/2022 20:06

I've sent some letters about this already...sometimes it feels like writing into the void, but I keep doing it.

Delphinium20 · 06/12/2022 20:20

This is timely: www.telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2022/12/06/guardian-hiding-truth-trans/

Axolotlquestions · 06/12/2022 20:25

I remember the mealy mouthed coverage of this on Blocked and Reported. Hope they do a follow up now this is in the public sphere.

Helleofabore · 06/12/2022 16:18

”I just cannot fathom the kind of mind that is, apparently, a responsible adult with care for children, who sees a raped teenaged girl.”

I never used too. But I can now. I can see exactly how.

Because these women and girls are accepted collateral. They are the n in the n+1.

Because they are faceless women and girls and their defenders are bigots, supposedly.

How many times have we seen this?

Precisely this.

For a long time now I have repeatedly asked people:

How many women and girls constitute acceptable collateral damage?

I am yet to receive an answer.

EndlessTea · 06/12/2022 21:40

I couldn’t read on. It’s too horrific.

Igmum · 07/12/2022 08:23

This is appalling. What on earth did those teachers think they were doing? How could they have even considered justifying this to themselves for a single second? Come on MSM, what good are you if you aren't outraged at this?

NotBadConsidering · 07/12/2022 08:28

I agree that it’s evil. Sacrificing the wellbeing of girls to protect themselves and the whole ideology. This occurs in all cults. Every single one when they eventually collapse reveals the secrets of the girls who were sacrificed for the cause. Only in this instance, they’re doing it in plain sight and get away with it.

I have no idea if this Twitter account is a MN reader, but if she is, a HUGE shoutout to trying to get the attention of Michelle Goldberg. Women helping women...it's made my day. THANK YOU!!!!

twitter.com/karenvaites/status/1600406950927138817

I hope Goldberg listens (I generally respect Goldberg but I am frustrated with her inability to see the ramifications of gender ideology on women).

nilsmousehammer · 07/12/2022 18:23

The pictures in that thread of the father on the ground underneath police for responding negatively to the news that his little girl had been sodomised on school property, in school time, while in the care of these bastard excuses for school staff, and not being properly polite about her rapist.

I am furious and bewildered that I seem to be living in a time where half the world has gone mad and has lost all humanity or reason.

Yes, and those throwing the girls into the volcano are utterly convinced that they're the Righteous ones on the side of the angels. I keep wondering if I'm in a recurring nightmare.
