thanks for this

ArabellaScott · 06/12/2022 08:58

Thanks, OP.

'What I feel most upset about is the absolute dereliction of basic journalism by the Left-wing media. The first lie is that there is no conflict between trans rights and women's rights, and no harm ever caused by self-identification. In truth, there is a conflict'

It's a great article - thank you.

I cancelled my subscription to the Guardian yesterday - reading that interview with Hadley Freeman was the final straw.

Shortpoet · 06/12/2022 09:02

She’s not holding back is she. Good for her.

WarriorN · 06/12/2022 09:06

Wonderful, thank you.

Thanks OP and thanks Suzanne.

Such courage

baroqueandblue · 06/12/2022 09:39

Thank you for posting this OP, I'd never have seen it otherwise.

Heartening and vital. Not to mention brave... and moral.

Ramblingnamechanger · 06/12/2022 09:54

Cracking piece .

IcakethereforeIam · 06/12/2022 19:42

Just struck me, reading that, the press is so cagey (lies) about a tw real sex when he commits a crime. However, I'm betting if a tw were to come to harm....

I'll stop there, I hope it'll be a long time before that ever happens and I don't want to upset MN.

Good article thanks OP. I cancelled my subscription to the Guardian a while ago and wrote to tell them why. Think the WiiSpa incident was my final straw.

Purplestorm83 · 06/12/2022 22:08

There’s a very interesting interview with Hadley Freeman on Women’s hour on bbc sounds, glad she’s resigned and it sounds like the Guardian has fallen into its own pit of wokery unfortunately

Marshmallowmountain · 06/12/2022 22:17

Thank you for sharing OP. I used to enjoy to guardian but over the last two years or so the telegraph has become my paper of choice for the reasons Suzanne discusses.

LizzieSiddal · 06/12/2022 22:38

Thanks for the article, nail on head as usually for Suzanne.

I wonder if anyone at The Guardian is starting to feel ashamed or guilty re their silence around women and Child safety or their lies around trans issues?

Cassillero · 06/12/2022 23:06

That's a great article. Thank you.

I do genuinely think that the pendulum is swinging back though. I have 2 daughters. My eldest, aged 22 absolutely refuses to discuss any of these issues with me because I'm "transphobic and we'll fall out". My younger daughter though is 15, and after a period of her also calling me transphobic she completely agrees with me on how ridiculous this all is. Especially now they've changed words in biology. She told me tonight, absolutely incredulous, that as part of her biology revision, they now have to answer a question on reproduction without referring to biological sex.

My niece is 18 and the same. Also went through a period of calling me and her mum transphobic, but now she's 100% seeing the craziness. We discuss this a lot my niece leading the conversation.

Both of these girls are super smart. Predicted top grades for everything. Top sets all their lives and predicted top Unis.

I genuinely think they've pushed too far with the trans movement. The pendulum is gonna swing back, fast and hard, and hopefully knock a few people out on the way.

Is the Guardian owned by the Scott Trust? And isn't one of the Scott Trust bigwigs a man who has transitioned?

That's a very good point @IcakethereforeIam

No, don't be shy about it it's up there in gender ideology myth number 20.

When a transwoman commits a crime they're a "woman" but when a transwoman is a victim of crime they're a transwoman and we need a vigil.

Equally, look how they fall over themselves to avoid using preferred pronouns when someone with a gender identity does a bad thing:

And somehow it's always the fault of GC feminists, even if the logic is so tortured that someone should invoke the Geneva Conventions.

I just heard on radio 4 an interview about e-commerce with the ex head of Guardian IT e-commerce manager. A female name, a very male sounding voice. Now living in Canada.

I think we might deduce where some of the Guardian trans pressure has come from eh?
