'. Cancel culture, arguments about “wokeness" and the assault on Salman Rushdie have produced a febrile atmosphere. Meanwhile autocrats and populists have undermined the very notion of an accepted fact-based truth which lives above politics. So how do we calibrate freedom in this context? If we have the freedom to offend, where do we draw the line?'

I've just given this a listen and it's great.

The q&a at the end is very interesting. The bad law project & fair cop representative's question didn't go down well did it? Interesting set of well know question askers too

It's very ignorant of me I know, but what does social sensure (sp?) mean?! It's talked about alot and I've googled but I don't understand this term... Chimamanda says it as well as the compare, right at the end of the talk, just before the q&a's.

I remember precisely when I found out the word skellington didn't didn't have a g in it - I read this book funnybones

Querying afterwards why the hell it was pronounced 'skellington' and spelled like that was when I found out it wasn't supposed to be
