I am not familiar with this publication. Has anyone seen this elsewhere? If even a fragment is true, it's horrifying.

Jesus Christ. I have a chronic medical condition. I'm basically not expecting to be safe in hospital anymore.

Sorry to hear that, bellinisurge. It's not a good time to be female, is it.

Not to mention the actual cover ups that have happened like the one that told a woman who had been raped that there had not been a man on the ward. She was gaslit for a whole year before they admitted that there had been. I would query the numbers of women supposedly doing the abusing, given that definitions seem blurred to say the least. Grim reading but I am not surprised.

I'm angered by the outrage expressed by politicians. How dare they! They all support self ID. As for the NHS, Navina Evans ignores the fact the NHS has gaslighted at least one patient and refused to report a rape.

The Met police and Greater Manchester Police both rejected the FOI request that this report was based on. So, the whole of the Met London area and the Greater Manchester area aren't included in these stats. Plus another 10 unnamed police forces who didn't reply to the request. You could therefore reasonably assume that the numbers are probably quite a lot higher than those reported.

Over a quarter of those assaults are on psychiatric wards which doesn't surprise me.
I had to work 3 weeks on a psychiatric ward in the 80's and i was frankly terrified of both the staff and patients.
So many mental health nurses have mental health problems themselves and the patients are either very vulnerable or very intimidating.
In 3 weeks I had coffee thrown over me and my uniform, dress in those days, ripped open from top to bottom.
On Boxing day they had Towering Inferno playing on the TV , I was convinced someone would set the whole place on fire during that shift.
An old woman used to masturbate openly in a 4 bedded bay.
A young schizophrenic girl, at most 18, who should never have been in that setting was inconsolable.
And a poor woman who had just had a dc2 and had pnd and was incoherent. Also should not have been there imo.
It was like hell on earth.

Absolutely, how dare Wes Streeting pontificate on this! Imagine having the gall to stand there and say you'd be tougher on rapists and sentencing when the party itself would kick you out for defining the the sex of the perpetrator ffs.
